King Tides at Port Albert

Port Albert has seen a number of HUGE 2.8m tides in a row last week. The high water levels combined with strong winds that has seen some areas around the Port inundated with water.

This happens a couple of times each year where the drains backfill and can't drain away fast enough in time for the next large incoming tide.

Jenny Smith from a local Port Albert Airbnb 29 on Wharf managed to capture a few images around the port. Noticable high water levels around Bay Street and the bottom half of South Street.

Also included was a Facebook post from Yarram & Surrounds Buy, Swap and Sell whoing some great images of the Port Albert wharf.
