New Port Albert's 'Instaframe' Gives Visitors the Perfect Photo Opportunity
Visit the new Port Albert Instaframe at Stockyard Point. Capture Memories of Wilson’s Promontory, Norfolk pines and iconic Port Albert views.

The Port Albert Progress Association is proud to announce a new addition to Port Albert, giving visitors a fun and memorable way to capture their visit to our beautiful coastal village.
A new Instagram-ready Instaframe has been installed at Stockyard Point, providing the perfect vantage point for visitors to take photos and share their Port Albert experience on social media.
The double-sided frame has been specifically positioned to take advantage of the views in both directions. On a clear day, visitors can frame Wilson’s Promontory in the background, while switching sides then provides a view featuring Port Albert’s Norfolk pines and one of the village’s large iconic buoys.
Built for the Coast
The Instaframe has been constructed from aluminium and finished with marine-grade paint to help it withstand the challenging coastal weather conditions and keep it looking great for years to come.
The project has also been a great example of local ideas, businesses and community organisations working together.
The original idea came from Garry A, who spotted similar Instaframes during his travels through South Australia. Emma then suggested making the frame double-sided when the best location was being considered.
A big thank you also goes to The Middle of Everywhere for supporting us with part funding, Drakeford Studios for their design ideas, organising the build and installing the frame, and Wellington Shire Council for helping make the installation location possible.
Special thanks also go to our PAPA Volunteers Sandi for assisting with the installation and of course Deb, who kept the project moving while others were away. Her hard work helped bring the project to completion.
Visitor Number One
And it didn't take long for the new Instaframe to get its first visitor.
Our first photo was captured by a visitor riding the Great Southern Rail Trail, who had travelled all the way from Queensland.
We believe the Port Albert Instaframe is the first of its kind in the Wellington Shire and hope it becomes another popular stopping point for visitors exploring the village, the coast and the Great Southern Rail Trail.
Stop. Snap. Share.
Next time you visit Port Albert, head down to Stockyard Point, step into the frame and capture your own Port Albert memory.
Take your shot. Tag us @VisitPortAlbert and remember to use #PortAlbertInstaframe hashtag in your social media posts.
